Sudoku ("we", "our", or "us"), provided by Blobatic, is a puzzle game offering classic Sudoku across multiple difficulty levels, a daily challenge, statistics, and achievements. This policy outlines how information is handled when you use the Sudoku mobile application.
1. Game Data Stored on Your Device
As you play, the app saves your progress so you can pick up where you left off:
What Is Stored: In-progress games, puzzle history, statistics (games played, win rate, best and average times), streaks, achievements, and your preferences such as theme, timer, and haptic settings.
Storage: This data is saved locally in the app's private storage on your device. We do not operate servers that receive or store your game data.
No Account Required: The app has no sign-in and never asks for your name, email address, or phone number. It does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or photos.
Device Backup: If Android backup is turned on for your device, Android may include this app's data in your device backup to your Google Account. Those backups are governed by Google's privacy policy.
No Sale of Data: We do not sell or rent your game data to third parties.
2. Information We Collect
Gameplay Analytics: Anonymous game events via Firebase Analytics, such as when a puzzle is started, completed, or failed and when hints are used, along with the difficulty, game mode, completion time, and number of mistakes and hints. This helps us understand how the game is played and improve it.
Crash Reports: Crash logs and diagnostic information via Firebase Crashlytics (such as device model, operating system version, and the state of the app at the time of a crash) to fix bugs and maintain app reliability.
Device Identifiers: Standard device details (operating system version, device model, app instance ID, and advertising ID) used for analytics, ad serving, ad frequency limits, and fraud detection.
App Integrity: Firebase App Check uses Google Play Integrity to confirm that the app is a genuine, unmodified copy installed from Google Play. This helps protect the app from abuse.
3. Third-Party Services
We partner with standard infrastructure services to support app functionality:
Google Firebase: Analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, and App Check (Firebase Privacy Information).
Google AdMob: For displaying banner, full-screen, and optional rewarded video ads. Rewarded ads are only shown when you choose to watch one, for example to earn an extra hint or an extra life (AdMob Privacy Policy).
Google User Messaging Platform: Displays the ad consent form where required by law, such as in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland (Google Privacy Policy).
Google Play Services: Play Integrity checks and supporting services for the features above (Google Privacy Policy).
4. Your Choices and Data Deletion
You can manage or delete your data at any time:
Ad Consent: Where required, you are asked for consent the first time you open the app. You can review or change your choices at any time by going to Settings → Privacy in the app. Firebase Analytics also respects these choices.
Ad Personalization: You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings, under Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your device).
Delete Game Data: Uninstall the app, or go to Android Settings → Apps → Sudoku → Storage → Clear storage. This permanently removes all saved games, statistics, and settings from your device.
Analytics and Crash Data: This data is not linked to your name or email. To request deletion of analytics or crash data associated with your device, email support@blobatic.com.
5. Children's Privacy
Sudoku is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
